The Background: Eyes2market have an innovative new search tool, a website that helps travel companies track down the most vital business data. However, customers “are not getting it”. The company’s web copy just isn’t clear enough.

The Brief: Take the website, review it, understand the concept, work with the client to get its wording right, and re-write.

How we did it: Rather than just plough ahead, we started a period of consultation. To get web copy right is sometimes not just about the words, it’s about the purpose: What is the site for, what are the client’s aims, how can we help? Then bit by bit we reviewed the existing copy, applied what we learnt, and reviewed again.

By putting in the time and working to understand what was needed, rather than acting as a schoolmaster and making corrections, we really made a difference:
